Windows' "transition effects".

I suspect I may have solved the mystery of my "use transition effects for menus and tooltips" preference (Display Properties- Appearance- Effects). I keep all that stuff turned off and it keeps magically getting turned back on. If the Reaper installs are doing this and it's a known issue, is there a reason that it needs to be on? BTW- This is the pref which makes unminimizing or opening new windows appear to visually "expand", rather than just immediately busting open (my preferred method). Thanks!

I don't think that there is an Option / Preference in Reaper or its install that turns on that Windows setting. Thanks guys! I just double checked and completely wiped all Reaper traces before a subsequent clean install and you appear to be correct (it's still off). It must have been something I launched right around the same time. I'll check the studio machine tonight, but I guess it may be some other app that's resetting it (smells like Microsoft). Thanks Again
