Export/Import 'preferences' settings?

Title... thinking about the possibility that I may need to setup everything from the scrach scare the hell out of me...took me awhile to set it up. where is the settings file? it will be nice to have an 'Export/Import settings button' on the menu itself (like in the action list) I probably miss something...(?) help o0 cheers

In XP the .INI files that contain preference settings and such are located in the following folder; C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Reaper The main one to backup and keep a copy of is "reaper.ini". It's not been a problem for me though. I just install new versions right over the old and my preferences have never gotten hosed. A good backup of Reaper.ini is a good idea though in case you fat finger something while playing around in prefs and can't remember how to get it set back... D

Thanks actually it is important once you reinstall windows, install in the lap top for live...etc I think that it worth a Export/Import button on the menu (nearby the find button or something)
