Hi there, I found this in the Vemberaudio forum: This might be a stupid question (and I might be a bit paranoid when it comes to getting the best quality possible), but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this? I use Shortcircuit 1 for all my drums and I do indeed have trouble to mix them sometimes. This, however, might be just me. I guess a 'boxy sound' is not what you want in drums is it? So, did anyone observe something negative about SC1's sound quality? I guess I would switch to SC2 if it was usable :-) Regards, fladd

I don't think Shortcircuit alters the sound of the samples unless you do something to make it. Do your drums sound different when played outside of shortcircuit then? this could be a useful read for you
I also cannot hear anything strange. It is more of a hypothetical questions. Does anyone know where the resampling is going on? In Reaper or in Shortciruit? Oh, and can something like the guy on the vemberaudio forums is saying be actually true? That the sound of the single drums is okay, but when mixing all the outputs of Shortcircuit together in a DAW the mixes sound worse compare to the same mixing done with Shortcircuit 2? I mean, isn't the sum something the host does? Shouldn't that be always the same (if the single sounds are the same of course)? fladd
