I've posted a similar request few days ago, and I thought it's best to merge it here. Cd text and ISRC writing would be a sensible add to Reaper. I hate to change environment (and mindset) during mastering phase, just because of that. Many people also ask for ID3 tagging in MP3 and similar compressed formats; since CD Text writing is basically a tag system for audio-cd I believe this request behave here too. I think we need to be able to define cd tracks' boundaries in the timeline WITHOUT using the existing Markers and Regions. IMO those should be used exclusively for what they are: arrangement tools. I propose a new specific and visually distinguishable "track region" which should snap to a 75 frames/sec grid, indipendently from project's framerate settings. We then should be able to store tracks' metadata within this new "track region". Metadata means: - track number / order - ISRC code - copy/emphasis bits - AND a set of fields that are common to the most popular tag formats (CD Text, ID3, Vorbis comment, BWF chunk) such as PERFORMER,SONGWRITER,TITLE and so on... Once these informations are stored in the arrangement, they could be used/interpreted by the render engine in different ways, following the user's format of choice. The same metadata could be translated into CD Text inside the cue sheet if the user is burning an audio CD, or into ID3 tags if the user is rendering MP3 files... I completely agree. I think Reaper is an amazing environment for mastering so with this addition i too could complete my mastering projects completely inside of Reaper. +100000000
