Sup all, Just got maschine the other day and i'm using it as a plugin in Reaper (which i know like the back of my hand). I was wondering if anyone knew how to be able to have the midi notes show up in reaper, but control the sounds in maschine. I want to do this using the mashine controller to trigger the sounds by the way I watched the video on the NI site where it says you just have to change something in the batch MIDI settings and set up reaper to send/receive MIDI, but no dice. I enabled the MIDI in/out for maschine in reaper (thru USB plug only....do i need to plug up MIDI cables to the in and out?). Wondering if anybody has done this or has any ideas.

I do not know Maschine and expect it to be a special kind of hardware synth... Sounds like cables are needed: Maschine MIDI out + cable MIDI port to MIDI in of REAPER first track. Second Track receive MIDI from first Track and send to MIDI port out + cable to MIDI in of Maschine. In Maschine find the settings for: local off. Otherwise you will get every note twice.

OK, I figured it out today. No MIDI cables required. Thanks for the input.
