Hi again can anyone suggest what to look for. THe ECC works perfectly for about 5- 10 minutes then no more cooling. During this time the compressor has been working normally until it goes warm, then the cluch on the compressor will not engage at all. I assume this is a by product of a sensor going out of range. Can anybody give us a clue?? Cheers Andy
Is the system cycling very quickly? If so, maybe time for a re-charge. OR, could be the pressostat - the switch on the low pressure line out of the evaporator. Could try bridging out the wires - a grey and a green if i remember correctly
There is a thermal switch known as a superheat switch fitted to the side of the compressor in series with the feed to the clutch. These can become faulty, the usual cure is to short it out. As far as I remember the connector arrangement will allow you to take the thing out of circuit by just replugging the incomming wire directly to the wire from the clutch.
