I'm sure there's an action/extension/combination of things that will do this, but figure I'll ask here before I spend hours digging. I used to do something years ago (in Wavelab, I think) where I could record in a single track with a lot of individual sounds (say, playing through each sound of a drum machine to sample it). It would automatically go through and split the WAV at each sound, deleting the silence.. so I'd end up with 25 separate clips. Then it would save them as name(number).. so with one or two clicks, I'd end up with a folder with tr8081.wav, tr8082.wav, etc, etc This made it REALLY easy to create sample sets. I know that there's easy ways to do the first part in Reaper.. but what about the second part? Thanks!

It looks like either auto trim/split or dynamic split will do the first part. So then - how do I save the remaining clips as individual wavs?

once you've got them split up, you could script up something that goes item by item applying a region, and then you could use the render region stuff (using naming wildcards) to get the named/numbered items maybe? Item navigation: Select and move to next item Markers:Insert region from selected items ^ loop OR select all the split up items Markers: Insert separate regions for each selected item

Hey no need to script anything, just use Batch file/item converter (in the File menu).

@biggator You are totally right, that's why I make a script called "glue selcted items independently". Also, Breeder-spk77 make one that is ore advanced, called Glue Tools. All of them are in . -- If you don't need the new files to be imported at the same place in the project, you can select them and make an export for selected items only.
