How would such a way of editing the toolbar work ? I find the custom toolbars very hard to find. You need to already know they exist to find the proper actions in the action list. They can also be spotted more by accident than by design, when you right-click on an empty space in the main toolbar button space above the TCP space. The Options/ menu has a cute entry right at the bottom about editing the menus and toolbars. Please correct me if there is another way to find them. The result is that by default these toolbars are invisible and hidden. Cockos, it's well worth investigating what the default use and position of these toolbars could be. A lot of applications favour the new ribbon toolbars, which could be a way for Reaper as well. It's a way to display context sensitive operations in horizontal blocks. The arrangement area and track area could do with EvilDragons colour picker. The functions that help the starting user the most, and which he/she'll search for first could be placed there. I have to run, but will gladly engage anyone in a discussion of these matters, including making up stuff graphically if necessary.
