Hi all Well, it's great to see that the forum is live again. I've recently bought my first Volvo.. a V70 2.4T SE Auto 170bhp (I think it's a 170 from what the dealer said!)... Just a couple of niggles with the car.. Engine Service Required... Cruise Control not working... Anyway, I do love the car... I hope it gives me plenty of fun and reliability... Thanks Steve

Hi Steve, welcome to the forums and enjoy your car, hopefully you will get the niggles sorted and you really enjoy the power of that big engine.

Welcome to the forums Steve, glad you like your new car. I wouldn't worry about cruise control, you'll be too busy overtaking to worry about that :) Have you asked your dealer about the service light? Seems strange that it's on soon after buying, unless you've actually had the car a while that is!

Yeah, I've asked about the service light... It's now gone off... so, I just haven't used the cruise control... It's more of pain being without the car for a day that it is not using the cruise control! Love the car though.... I still wonder how I find out what bhp it is... Just interested to find out...

Hi, and welcome. This thread might answer your question about engine power assuming you have an N/A 2.4 - I lifted the info below from it. There should be a sticker on your cambelt cover with an engine code on it. The B5244S is 125KW (170BHP) and the B5244S2 is 104KW (140BHP). If it's a 2.4T then you should have 200bhp. Cheers, John
