I don't recall where I saw it - but you can't just use Bio-diesel, you do have to use the "proper" stuff every other tank full. the veg oil is the same it may be fine for a few tank full's but after that your injectors will be :angry2: I'll see if I can dig out the old facts.

My v40's petrol but I've always been interested in the bio side of stuff. Dick Strawbridge's series "It's Not Easy Being Green" is repeated at the moment on BBC2 early in the week (Tuesday? 7 or so?) next week he makes his own biodiesel out of chip oil. a mate has a discovery and we've always talked about it. years ago, the local buses were run on it as an experiment and you felt like a bag of chips every time you walked past
biodiesel and veg oil are not the same theymay use the same products all being veg oil or --rap seed oil bio --bio has been known to wreck engines and im not talking pumps (organisms form in water vapour and turn solid mass( as seen in olive oil , cloudy deposits in bottom of the bottle) check the web theres loads there -------- my vw mk1 caddy used diesel, veg, chip oil heating oil and never hurt it 3= yrs use
I used it on my old pug 405 deisel for around 2 years. Never had any issues with it. Even in the freezing winter it started no trouble. Smells like a fish and chip shop though if you get stuck in traffic. When first using it you have to change your fuel filter after around 500 miles as it cleans all the crud out the pipes. I was paying about 30p less per litre compared with regular diesel. I would be a bit sceptical about using it in an expensive car not really worth the risk in my eyes.
