002 rack firmware

Hi all, Ive read a few posts about the 002 and 6.2.2 which should run a 002 rack. I am having problems on start up that says my firmware is not the right version, it is 1.11 and needs to be 2.0. The computer I mix on cant get the internet so I was wondering where I would go to download it on a different computer. The computer tries to download it automatically but does not say from where. I am running 10.3.2 and still no luck. All the specs work out except for this firmware issue that makes the rack work like a very expensive door stop. I can only record at 44.1 and cant change the clock to external. General night mare. . suggestions?

You don't need to be on the internet, the firmware is within the software and when you open up Pro Tools it will tell you that you need to update firmware, just click ok and it will update, it may take around ten minutes or so.... Hope this helps

When I installed PTLE 6.7 onto my Mac for the first time, at the end of the installation I was told that the firmware for the 002R needed to be updated. I clicked "okay" or whatever to start the update, and at the very end of the firmware update, there was a dialog reported saying that the 002R lost connection with the Mac. Is this normal? I have since updated PT's to 6.9 (running OS 10.3.8)and have been using the program without any "lost connections" from the the 002R. My question is, is there a way to see what firmware is loaded into the 002R?

We've seen the 'disconnect' error now and then - it's typically nothing to worry about. Your firmware has successfully been updated - if it wasn't, you would get another message when you launch PT that asks to update it again.
