well now i have a new problem i am using a pioneer 104 dvd writer on a firewire connection. Primodvd does not recognize the drive. I built the image file but when I drag it to Primodvd, first I get "no dvd recorder found" and then I get the file is a "bad file". any ideas??

@JohnCage It is most likely PrimoDVD's problem, just how old is that anyway? Prassi sold out to Veritas a year ago, and I think your drive may be newer than that. Try updating to RecordNow Max. You can get a 30-day trial version at If that fails, there are other demos you can try, see for a list of links. @jmonfm - you musta got a bad card, my DVD system has 5 HD (total capacity 330G), a DVD reader, and a DVD writer. All get along fine with 4 IDE channels.
