is it possible to use an effect like db glitch on only part of a track without having to duplicate the track then using the effect on that one?

shift-E the selected item and per item fx chain appears! it still goes through main track fx also - fyi. enjoy

Just to add to that ... If you split the item at the time selection, it will create separate item, just use the effect on that. Also under Options, Preferences, Appearance, Media check the options FX and No FX to show the FX button on items ... :)

Just for the record 1 You can turn on a icon in prefs that shows FX per item 2 You can also just drag a plugin to an item (Drag n drop) NAS

... or, if you prefer ... Add the FX to the track's FX chain and use a Bypass envelope ....

Just don't use UAD-2 on individual items. Reaper will freeze at the end of playing the take. Known bug. Regards, DB
