I have both vision problems and am more than usually scatterbrained. What it the best theme for me to use so that tracks/functions/operations are most clearly viewed and understood? A lot of stuff loses in these respects in trying to look cool. That's OK, but I need all the help I can get. Thanks for any thoughtful advice!.

I like the looks of the skin "if momentum" by limeflavour, and I am just downloading the "if momentussion" by the same author. What I find cool is, among other things, the icons... they have clear labels ! So Instead of always wondering what button does what ("ripple ?") here it is obvious. And also nice to the eye.

IMO, Max's themes are some of the most visually ergonomic. Check out, e.g., "Nomolitic" (), Paula () or "Stumn201" ().

Is this closer or farther from what you're looking for? (For this to work you need to make sure that "tint track panel backgrounds" is checked in prefs and then select colors for tracks that work for you) This one works well for me in low light. I was considering changing the TCP buttons to a bright green like the solo button. Something that glows. Ooooooo.

Try this: Go to options > preferences > general, and click the "Advanced UI/System tweaks" button. Second tick box down is "Scale UI elements of track/mixer panels, transport, etc, by:" ...tick it and try 1.25 in the size box. Then OK twice, and restart Reaper. I appreciate that's not what you're asking, but it will make everything roughly the size they are in some other DAWs, might that be helpful?

My eyesight is impaired too. I may be way off base but I think my Chocolate Orange theme is quite high vis, I'm not sure if the icons might be a bit vague for you though, however if it would help I think I have some buttons I could put in it that would be more high vis.

The Vixie theme is AWESOME. I'm going to use it. I'll feel like I'm recording music onto a Super Nintendo! :)

Chocolate with minor mods is also good for a black theme. Looks like a tv from 1980 LOL (but surprisingly very legible)
