Hi... i was working with BR discs before and went on a little break. I was using the BD_BUILDER program at the time as well as RIPBOT. Just a question that i need to ask cause i think i may have forgotten something. When I used the BD_BUILDER program and then burned it with IMGBURN my disc played as data disc in the PS3 and not AVCHD like i was doing before. What did i forget to do that is causing this? Thanks
In order to turn USB memory stick storage media into DVD-R, you need to "restructure" (actually renaming) the BDMV folder's contents with proper names so that PS3 and other BD-Player can reconize as AVCHD Disc. You may need AVCHDMe, AVCHD Manager, or AVCHD Patcher to do the job.

8.3 filenames are only required when playing back from a FAT32 USB device. In this case, the poster is using a DVD-R or BD-R so no renaming necessary. I've not used BD-RB before but as far as I know, the output should work on PS3 without any further action required. What exactly is your output from BD-RB? Does it output an ISO or a BDMV folder or...?

BD-RB did what it was supposed to...they are in two folder structures....BDMV and the Certificate folder. For some reason after burning it with IMGBURN.....the PS3 read it as a DATA Disc....it didnt burn as an AVCHD format like it did when I was doing this before. It may have been a setting i was supposed to pay attention to...i just cant remember what. And I burned them in the format for a standard 4.5 DVD disc...just like my previous tasks.
If you are using DVD media on the PS3, you generally need to select the "Movie-Only" mode in BD-Rebuilder. That mode will include the AVCHD related information the PS3 requires to play as a video disc from DVD media.
