Arghhhhhhhh!........Halfords!

Running short of time last weekend I went into Halfords in Bracknell to buy new plugs, dizzy cap, rota and HT leads. Finished work early today, rigged up the workshop lamp under the bonnet and started fitting everything - wont take long me thinks. Wrong......HT leads the wrong type! B****y Halfords! And I double checked the parts number against the guide book in the shop. What a waste of time - I will have to mess about on Friday morning taking them back, getting a refund and sorting out the right ones. Packed everything away, came inside and had a glass of whiskey. Blood pressure now almost back to normal!

they actually saved me when i broke one of my HT leads, had to limp around Cov on 4 cylinders till i found somewhere who had a set for mine in stock which they did. Have had a few bad experiences with them tho

Halford Bulb catlogue doesnt list all the bulbs which a S60 uses...i went yesterday to get new bulbs as for some strange reason my tail light bulbs all went at the same time...i was after the fitting 207 in 5W form,i couldnt find it and i decided to ask for help..help arrived and the young pimple faced assistant tried to convince me that a brake light bulb P21W will do the same job and fit..i was stunned ...the P21 bulb was twice as wide as the 207.. Ask a question about chavish mods then you will get the right answer but nothing more ...Halfords like everything else is down the pan..

halfords is great it keeps all the clowns out of the good shops so i dont have to que :D

I tend to take the parts that I'm replacing in with me as a patten if that's possible. Discount can be really good though.
