You could use TMPGEnc to convert the wmv to avi. Open the file and then File/Output to file -> avi . You will now have an uncompressed avi. TMPGEnc can be found in the download section under MPEG1/2 Encoders. Edge
started following htis guide here didnt know TMPEG could open these files, VD 1.4c can open some but not all i have here, complains bout a WMV2 decoder, so thats when i started following that guide never played with the AVI output option of TMPEG, you can do full DivX compression and all, who needs VD :D LOL
Doom9 here have the "compare codec" article that gets updated and the latest one stacked the WM9 against Xvid and Divx etc and it did quite well, surprisingly actually. i have never used it mysef, its Microsoft :rolleyes:
