Is there still a harness problem?

Howdy Folks, Longtime lurker, short time poster... I just tried to boot my 002R, only to see a red mute light and hear a click every second or so. A search taught me that this is the symptom of a bad harness. Could it be anything else? It does not matter if Firewire is plugged in or not, the only light on the front is the mute. A week ago, all was fine. Of course, I have my first client coming over on Tuesday to do some work, but now have no system. Is there anything I can do, or do I have to wait until Monday morning to call Digi? All constructive input is appreciated. Thanks --xian

i'd put money on it that it's the harness.....it's sunday night for me now, so as of now, yea, you'll have to wait till monday to call digi.....if it's warrantied, they'll fix it for free...when I called them about my 002 non rack, they gave me the name of a close certified repair center which I took it to the same day.....i don't know if all places will do this but this place offered to fix it in guaranteed 24 hr turnaround for a fee or fix it for free in 2 days...I opted to let them take their time since there was such a small difference in time and I wasn't absolutely in need, but maybe you can find a place that would do the same so you could get it back tuesday....hope this helps

So is there like a call-back for systems before a certain date, or do they only fix this after it's broken?

Curious as to your resolution?? Sometimes when mine plays tricks, turning off the 002r and then rebooting the computer fixes the problem. Good Luck
