Rewire: Reaper is host, Live is slave, Live sending midi to Reaper

What I am thinking so far is, this is not possible due to Live's Rewire midi output limitations (maybe?). I hope anyone can prove the opposite.

I don't have Live but I think that Reaper ReWire does not receive MIDI from the host. I've just tried here with Reaper Master and Slave and could not get any MIDI from the slave to the master. I could be very wrong, though.
