Anyone have suggestions for buying a cd burner for a G4? I have a scsi card and firewire ports avaible. I heard Roger Nichols had trouble with the QPS firewire drives. Thank you!

I've tried a few different brands of SCSI burners and now I only trust TRAXDATA. I'm not saying that it's the only reliable brand. It's just the only one I'VE come to trust. Just my 2 cents worth.

Regarding the CD-RW, we are using the I-omega CDZip drive (USB) version with the Adaptech's TOAST CD burner Software. IT is very cool and easy to operate it! We are also using a G4 400MHz with 192MB RAM, 9GB Ultra Wide SCSI Harddisk with ATTO SCSI card.

Take a look over at and consult their drive compatibilty database. These days I'd take a hard look at firewire drives as a first choice, SCSI and IDE, then USB last. The Sony Spressa ILink (firewire) 10X seems to work well for a lot of people.

I'm using YAMAHA CDR-100 for 6 years - no problem. Now i've bought YAMAHA CDRW 8824S. The only problem my Masterlist CD doesn't see it.
