Hi, I (Reaper-newbie) have the two follwing questions regarding the multi-take recording feature. 1. How do I mute the takes, disblayed in the track, which I don't want to listen to? 2. Is it possible to switch to the good old "the new recording overwrites the old recording" mode and if yes, how? 3. If the answer to question 2. is "yes", is it possible to switch to the multi-take view at a later point where I need it? Thank you very much, Dominik (Germany)

Thanks, you're right. The first quenstion was really... But I don't understand how the locking settings should help me with my second problem. Maybe I haven't expressed what I mean in the right way: I simply don't want the additional takes to be shown in the track. Thanx, Dominik/Germany

What I miss a little bit is a good descripition of the whole topic in the manual. For example: I've made a test recording five minutes ago. One track, two takes. When I play this track, both takes are played at the same time. Of course I could mute the take I don't want to hear but I think this will get very complicated when working with e.g. 25 tracks with e.g. 5 takes per track.
