When did this happen??

You duplicate a track then strip out the audio (for doing doubles etc) and then you change the name of track. You start recording on the new track but PT keeps naming the files where the original left off instead of using the new name you just typed in. Is there a pref I'm missing or something? when did this start? I didn't notice this til 6.4. drews

Hi, I just tried to to get this to happen and could not. I tried in normal, loop, quick punch, and destructive record modes. I can't think of a preference in 6.4 that would cause this. Does this happen in all sesson or just one? You may want to trash your Pro Tools preference to see that has any effect. Let me know what record mode your in and exactly what order you are doing things in and I will give it another try. Thanks, Digidesign Tech Support

I can't reproduce it in my current session. Must have been in that one session that day. I will try to go back and see. Thanks for checking into it. drew
