Export Sonar into PT...

I have searched and read about exporting Sonar projects into PT and still have questions. I have read that the only way to do this is to import the .wav files and line them up in PT (thats tedious). I am not concerned with fades, plug in settings etc. All i need to do is get the songs as they were tracked into PT. Has anyone had first hand experience exporting Sonar 3 PE songs into PT? thx -mark

I haven't, but i have imported waves into PT and lined them up, it really is not that bad. One thing you can do to save time is create stereo waves in sonar, say putting a guitar on left and the bass on the right. Then when you import them to PT you can separate the stereo region into two distinct independent tracks. Cuts your import time in half.

You could export the sessions in Sonar as OMF, then use the DigiTranslator demo to import them into PT.

Yes. The demo installer for windows is included on the PT install disk.

If the omf dont work just save out out each track with the same starting refence point and when you import them to protools every thing will be locked up in its correct spot.
