For the LOVE OF GOD, can someone tell me how to get the tempo/meter changes to correspond with moving audio and midi regions? For example, I have a song all mapped out but I want to extend the intro and add another 30 bars to the beginning. Using Shift command I can move the Audio/MIDI no problem, but all my tempo/meter markers stay put which screws up the whole song. The dialogue says "Shift is not supported for tempo/meter events.....use cut/paste instead". So I try to cut and paste the markers to the new spot but it just screws up my while song and seems to give unpredictable results every time, including the bars all getting renumbered. There are quite a few time and tempo changes in the song so try to move stuff around creates a real mess. I'm really getting frustrated, Does anyone have experience with resequencing tempo and meter markers?

You have to move the MIDI as well, make sure ALL you audio & MIDI tempo map (at the very top of the screen)is highlighted when you are trying to insert new sections, cut & paste etc; You can also renumber the bars if you need to if you are adding a new begining to a song. Make sure you keep older versions as it's very easy to make mistakes doing this sort of thing! JK London N719

I've tried what you suggested but still can't get everything to move together. The best way seems to cut/paste the tempo and meter to the new locatons after shifting the audio. I can move the tempo by cutting and pasting, however cutting the meter also deletes all the bar beat markers before I can paste, which really messes things up because it effectively sets the last bar to the 1st bar (in my case 96 becomes the start of the song). I just noticed this doesn't happen in another session where I do all of this fine. Is there some setting to link/unlink the meter markers to the bar/beat markers? It just doesn't make any sense. I've never been able to figure out why the tempo maps behave differently in different sessions.

To move your markers, etc.. with your edits.. simply shift + click in the timeline at the top of the edit screeen before doing any edits. BTW to add more bars at the top of the session.. change the session start time (if needed) in the Session Setup Window (make it earlier.. I know you didn't have it set to 00:00:00:00 -- but if you did.. make it 1 hour and select relative [then go back and make it 00:59:30:00 and select original].. if there's enough space in front with the new start time select original). Now use the renumber bars command. Rail
