Waves Kramer HLS Channel Strip plug on crazy sale right now

I've been looking at this for the last day trying to talk myself out of pulling the trigger but I'm very weak :( I'm already a heavy Waves user but if you wanna refer me go ahead (before this deal expires).

Any issues with it running in Reaper?

Reaper is still not "supported" by Waves (supposedly soon, but who knows....?), so try the demo first. Also, read up on their new licensor, Waves Central. Many people are having serious issues with that, and you may not be able to use the old License Manager if you don't already have your licenses on a USB. Read up y'all.....

I started Waves Central and decided to keep everything on the USB stick old way. The kramer plugins work fine in Reaper though...no issues.

I see the HLS as a rock and roll EQ so I would want a rock and roll compressor...the #1 rock compressor of all time is the 1176 IMO so I would definitely go that route. Stillwell Rocket, Waves, UAD...find the one that does it for you. As another option are the options from Kush and Sly-Fi, the man does dirty compression very well and while it's not an emulation it sounds good and is versatile.

Hmm...doesn't look like I got the credit for anyone using my link. Doesn't really matter anyway, it was only for 10% and if somebody just got this plug that's like three bucks. :D I'm not having any problems with this or any other Waves plugs, but I only have four of them. I upgraded to the new application they're using and didn't have any problems, but if people are then by all means DON'T DO THIS until you research the issues and make sure you won't lose anything. I'd hate to be be responsible for somebody losing a prized plug in the upgrade.
