I created a menu background in Photoshop and added some text in the trial version of Adobe Encore. After viewing this in my standalone DVD player, the text was shaky. Should I be using smooth or crisp fonts when creating the menus. Or was this caused by something else? Thanks

Smooth the fonts. Crisp horizontal lines will appear shaky on an interlaced display.

I was looking at my template and I think I'd left one of the fonts crisp, so that should sort it out now. I noticed that television broadcasts often have shaky logos.

These are (expensive) hardware devices used by broadcasters and production houses. You mentioned that some television broadcasts have shaky logos, they probably do not use either of these.
