Ok, this is a good question for burning, and I wanted to start this thread so that the answer doesn't get buried along in some lines in another post or two. When burning a DVD.. There is a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder. Some say leave the audio, *empty anyway, and others say not needed. Since i'ts empty, it really don't make that much room on the DVD so might as well leave it. BUT, When you look at files in the VIDEO_TS folder, there is the VIDEO_TS.IFO some *.BUP files, and of corse the main movie with the *.VOB files (Video OB ject files) What is it when burning that determines what is DVD compliant or not? If these same files were burned with Nero as well as Primo DVD shouldn't they be recognized and utilized the same? Does one burning software re-arrange or change files? This one has me a bit puzzled. I use DVD2ONE and burn in Nero in UDF mode and don't seem to have any problems, but there are those out there that have a lot of compatibility issues.
no need for an audio_ts file i have hundreds of dvds (originals) they dont have them so unless they changed DVD compliant ?(xbox,ps2)? i dont have them on any of my back ups
from the store. where do you buy yours that they all have them
