I'm going to buy this plugins, and I interesting in some details about procedure. How quick it can be possible in real life? Is it possible to buy from dealers? And if is it, which dealers do you recommend? I'm affraid to buy it by internet. If you bought on this way, how it had been succesful? And how real price (incl. taxes and add-expences) higher then price ond their web-site? Thank you.
Hi TSL, I've bought Sony plugs both online and from a dealer. Both ways work fine. I don't know if you've tried the demo yet, but the ideal way to go would probably be the following: 1) Install the demos and confirm that you like the plugins 2) Call a dealer and order them. They should probably reach you in about a week or so typically. 3) When the plugins arrive install them and authorize them and hopefully you will have maintained seamless access to them on your system. If you've already tried the demos, there's a good chance that the Oxford team would allow you one more 15 day demo. They did this for me while I was waiting for my purchased plugin to arrive. Their customer service is excellent. As far as dealers go, most dealers will probably charge at least a little less than the Sony website. I went through Studio Tech (512)793-3730 and their prices were very good. I encourage you to call them, they are wonderful to work with. Good luck, John
Tsl, I could not see in your profile where you're from - it makes a huge difference in what way would be the best way to buy! I've bought a lot of plugins over the net and sofar only had good experiences.
I bought the OXFORD EQ + GML plugin off their website. Everything's cool and I got a great plugin as well! Another thing, their customer service is great! I got answers back from them within minutes while installing the new OS X updates!
We had a situation where a producer was using the demos in a session and the demo period ran out. So, we needed the EQ and compressor immediately! We ordered online, and it was quick and painless. We were up and running immediately. I think we might have paid a little more than if we ordered through a retailer, but authorization was instant. They will instantly send you unlock-codes via email for the plugins, which will work for a few weeks until they send you the permanent unlock codes by mail.
tsl I second the suggestion above to contact Jon at . . . I am from Canada and have purchased a number of plugins and hardware pieces from Alto NY over the last 3 years. Each time was quick courteous service with excellent email communication and zero hassles. Don't be scared of these guys.
If you are from the Ukraine, watch the currency - you can save a lot of money if you buy when the pound is down and your currency (Rubel?) are up! If you buy a download version only you normally have no problem with costums, taxes and other sort of paperwork that comes along with it. If you need an iLok buy it separatly. Almost the only way of buying a download only version is true the homepage of the developer. The suggestions above will have lower prices, but in the end you will pay much more for your plugins going true those channels.
