I'm having a problem with Gordian Knot. I was using the DivX 4 version, but I just installed the DivX 5 version and I'm still having the same problem. When I click Save and Encode and then hit the Preview button, Media Player doens't show the preview. I get an hourglass for a second, then nothing happens. This used to work, but I must have messed something up. Any idea what's wrong and how to fix it?
Yeah, I tried reinstalling GK with DivX 4, then I tried the update for DivX 5, nothing worked. Could media player be messed up somehow? It still runs and plays my videos fine. What are some of things it could be? Thanks, David
The preview launches Windows Media Player 6.4 with your .avs script. Could be: bad wmp6.4, bad avisynth install, bad gknot install, bad underlying operating system, bad luck...lots of different things. If your OS is NT, W2K, or XP, you can look at error logs and see what is failing. With 95,98, or ME, you'll have to experiment to determine the cause. By that, I mean, experiment with wmp6.4, avi and avs files. You should be able to determine if your problem is wmp6.4, avisynth, or Gknot that way. If you don't already know it, the name of the executable file for wmp6.4 is "mplayer2.exe".
