Thanks Peter, I appreciate your help. I take it I can easily modify my old turbo and exhaust to fit? will the engine electrics be ok so I can just plug in the old loom and pre heat relay etc etc. From what I believe the new engine would run without the intercooler anyway if there were any fitting problems, am I right? Sorry to ask so many questions mate, but I ve not done such a major project before and I know there are many unforseen pitfalls. Thanks

The engine wiring should be the same. The intercooler should fit with very little problems by removing the cover over the front of the radiator for access. The newer engine would be quite down on power without the intercooler as the turbo when modified as to outlet angle should feed through the intercooler to the other side of the inlet manifold, over the rocker cover. The exhaust is essentially the same provided EGR (Exhaust Gas recirculation is not fitted). Let me know all the bits that come with the new engine and I will come up with fitting instructions and any parts you may need. All the best, Peter.
