My stuff: G4 dual fiver33/fiver12MB, 40G & 120G Internal drives, 40G External Firewire, OS 9.2.2. (I fear the numbers 10, 6 and now 5) The Seagate External 200GB, Firewire400/USB2 I just bought is making whirring, clicking and buzzing noises IN MY EVENT PS8 Powered monitors without the sound level up a notch!!!! But wait there's more! This is the 2nd identical drive I've brought home from Comp-USA that does the same thing! I took the advice of swiching the Firewire port connections around--no go. Comp-USA is really trying to help, but, NO I won't try to notch out the offending frequencies with some filter. Please...hurumphffff. Would anyone please help a poor songwriter attain his dream of backing up his work??? dna

check to see if its in your mix, or just the monitors. Then switch to balanced cables into the Events.

Sounds like a normal electricity proble. Try gound or ungound your HD. Try juicing the HD from a different room/Phase. Maybe?
