Hello Is there a way to run reaper actions by placing events on tracks? For example. Let's say I need a very CPU heavy fx at the beginning of a song, then even if I mute the track through automation, the FX is still using some CPU (for example an inaudible but CPU consuming reverb tail) Now. I know, there are ways to deal with it by freezing tracks and so on, but wouldl't be great if I could simply attach, an event (a midi note or cc, a marker) on a given track that would fire an action, like "toggle all track FX offline or bypass". I looked everywhere but found no answer how to do it. ANYONE has a clue?

Hi You should be able to do this with action markers. Basically, look up the action command ID in the actions list. Then create a marker and name it using an exclamation point and the id. For example, !24 would toggle FX bypass for track 01. Hope this is helpful. -Mike p.s. you need SWS installed. More info here:

You can automate the bypass for any plugin. It's there in the list of automation parameters on each track
