PT FOR DUMMIES!!!

ok. so i just got my digi 002 board about 2 months ago and i am not using it to it's maximum potential. i can't figure out how to use reason with pro tools. i can't access any of the extra plug-ins that came with the system. i have an ilok that doesn't show up on my desktop when i plug it in. i can only use 32 tracks, but it says i have 128 available. i know that's a lot to ask about, but will someone please help? i can't figure out why this stuff won't work!!!

thank you SO much for the reply! so i got the part about the 32 tracks at one time worked out. now i just need to work out my plug-ins and using reason. do you have any good trouble shooting tips on how to get pt to recognize reason? it's not that i don't know how to work them together, it's that reason doesn't even show up as an option when i go to my instrument plug-in thingy. none of my extra plug-ins that i took so much time to install show up anywhere either. whatcha got for me...

Have you registered your iLok? You need to create an account at iLok.com iLok dongles don't show up on the desktop. 32 tracks is only for AUDIO tracks. You can have something like 99 midi, aux, and instrument tracks. Try re-installing your Factory Bundle plugins (I assume since you got an iLok you have the Factory bundle). If you've installed Reason, then it should show up as an option when you create an Instrument Track and is listed under Instruments. Once you load the Rewire plugin, then you have to lauch Reason.
