I have a problem which occurs with both rc3 and rc4. It is not encoding related. When i click on a .avi in the explorer browser window it crashes xvidcore.dll which inturn causes explorer.exe to restart itself. It only does it on the one file that i know of so i suspect it has a corrupt index or something. However, the video continues to play normally in media player classic. What makes this strange is the video was encoded with divx not xvid. So why is it calling xvid in the first place?. FourCC support for DIVX and DX50 IS OFF in the xvid decoder panel. The video in question has - fourcc description code : divx - fourcc used codec : DX50 Upon further investigation i discovered it only crashes when "overlay extended mode" is on in the divx control panel. At the time of crash overlay was set to "maintain original".
