On certain video, the cce encode speed dropped from 1.9 to 0.3 Strange thing was the first pass it went well at 1.9 speed. Then right at 25% (i'm doing 4 passes), it just dropped to 0.3 speed. It then stayed at 0.3 for the rest of the video (sometimes it just stopped completly). Mind you, in taskmanager, cce took 100% of cpu for the entire time. All my other encodes went well, no problems what so ever. Just on an odd one cce went nut. So, what's going there? Anyone else having the same problem? I'm using cce 2.50 avs input no sound ntsc HELP! Thanks LdSr

Are you sure CCE was using all the CPU, not something else. I've seen it do stuff like that to me, but it won't use all the CPU. It will just sit there. For example on a given uncompressed YV12 AVI I was playing with the entire .vaf file was created at 1.4x, then when it started on the first pass it dove to about .3x. However during the entire process it never made it to 100% CPU usage (even during the VAF generate). My CPU can do 1.83x on DVD spec (720x480) footage when and if CCE lets it actually use all the CPU. Stereodude

I'm not really sure if it used 100% of cpu time during the hold time. But, I did another try of the same video, and the same thing happened. During the vaf creation, I got 1.9 speed, which is normal with my rig. But, for the first pass, it went up to 4.5, which is highly unlikely. When first pass finished, it dropped straight down to 0.3 speed. After second pass, cce hangs. Frequently, I checked how much cpu time cce is using, it's usually around 100%. Another weird thing is the numbers for size and frame counted up at a fair rate, but for the second pass, it counted up really slowly. The numbers went up every minute or slow. Help?
