headlamp wiper problem :0(

i bought my C70 a month back and knew that when i bought it there was a problem with the drivers side head lamp wash.. the previous owner had told me about it and it was documented in the last service sheet.. the problem is that when the brown connector (see pic below): is connected - it makes a whirring noise constantly like the motor is on all the time.. although there is no movement in the wiper arm at this time.. has anyone had a similar experience or know what the problem could be?? are these relay driven and if so why would it only affect one side?? any help or advice would be great!

The motor gearbox has failed, the only solution is replacement.

Hi, Yes, as above. Or there is an internal short. Replacement of the motor is your way forward on this. Whether from a dealer (new) or from a breakers (second hand).. Des. . . ;)
