Record Button Not Recording

I've been having issues when I try to record. I press record on the 002, the button lights up. Then I press play and the play button either switches to loop play mode and the record button is deactivated or the stop button lights up and the record button is deactivated. I thought it might have been the 002 so I used the mouse, same thing. Then I thought it might have had something to do with the Rewire issue but it happens even without a Rewire plug being used. The funny thing is that it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes 20 mins into a session it'll act up, sometimes it might not happen at all. I have 6.1.1 and a load Allenstein machine. Any word or threads out there on this? I did a search but I couldn't find anything. Thanks.

You have a stuck modifier key (either Control or Start) on your 002 or keyboard. Rail

It depends.. I've often had the Start key in Pro Tools get stuck.. just toggle it to reset it. If you didn't do anything which used that modifier, you may not notice easily. Rail
