Media noise on pause, starting with 45repre1

If there is media content under the play/edit cursor and I pause playback, using enter, I hear steady noise whose volume level is a function of the media volume at that point. This behavior started with 45repre1 and continues to the latest repre. The last version to not exhibit this behavior was 45rc16, which is silent when paused. Can anyone else confirm this? MacOS, 10.8.4, Reaper v4.5repre4/64, RME Fireface UC

Please don't post pre stuff outside of the pre forum. Can you elaborate a bit on that? Is the noise visible on the master? Are tracks armed for recording? Can you provide step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the issue and/or a .RPP project file (without media, ideally also without plug-ins) demonstrating the issue? Also, did you check that the other way around, is the noise disappearing again when you roll back to the last "good" version?

Sorry, I'm never sure where to initiate a thread. The noise is not visible on the master. There is very little to recreating it: launch a new project, add a track and either record some sound or import media. No effects. It doesn't matter whether you have record armed, or if you have monitoring turned on. Play back the media and pause it using the Enter key. If you're at a quiet or silent point in the track, you get little or no noise. If the point at which you pause the media has volume, you'll hear a buzz until you restart playback or hit stop. I get this with 45repre1 and later. Going back to 45rc16 and earlier eliminates the problem.
