Thanks for your reply Gerry!!! I'm honored and flattered that you took the time to respond to my posting. Glad you like the song! I REALLY like your nitpicks! Especially the idea about the delay effect on the vocal.... We mulled over perfecting those bits, but decided that the overbearing aspect of the repeats kinda hammered home the point of the lyrical content. Keep in mind that these songs are intentionally "half-baked" and we're considering taking these songs to the stage as a two-man-band... anything too complicated and we wouldn't be able to pull it off live.... I can post another song if there is any interest. I must reiterate how much I love the community here at the Reaper Forums. You all rock!! Thanks!

Cool man. Sounds like you had fun recording it. ;) When it comes to vocal delays I'm in the other camp that thinks you should generally avoid tempo-sync delay on vox as real rooms don't really do that except by accident. People do it a lot though... so whatever sounds good to you is right. ;)

Hi, Love the song! Sound is awesome... my 0.02 cts (strictly personal taste) some kind of LFO controlled resonant filter would be interesting in some parts some tom / cymbal transitions would add punch to the whole there are parts where a double bass drum would sound like coming out of hell. during the solo a weird feedback / heavy floyd rose lick could do too Cheers

Thanks for all the reply's and kind words y'all!! Lawrence - we DID have fun recording this session. Sobriety wasn't allowed.... heh.... Pollux - It was VERY hard to resist adding little embellishments like what you suggested. It was part of the goal when writing and recording these songs to keep it simple. Please keep suggestions coming!! I dunno what we'll end up adding to this and other songs just yet, but any fresh ideas are welcome!!! I love this forum! Have y'all checked out ReaNEQ?? It sounds AWESOME on the master fader (-15 conv, 27HZ high pass - for starters). Thanks!
