I recently had my MAC repaired and am in the process of re-loading EVERYTHING! I re-installed my Software (M-BOX 6.2)..I know it's old..but it's been working just fine! When I open Pro-Tools..everything seems fine until I attempt to OPEN a FILE from my external hard-drive! As soon as I click on the FILE....the entire screen goes DIM...and I get an error message in a grey box that says "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the restart button" This message is also in French, German and Chinese! It's happened 3 straight times....I'm stumped! HELP!!! BT

I moved it to the correct forum. Can you tell us which model Mac, which OS version and which Pro Tools version you're running? Most likely you just have an incompatible version of Pro Tools installed.

Thanks for getting back to me...here's the thing. I've been using this version of Pro-Tools on this MAC for years. I just had the hard-drive replaced..and a new logic board installed. Nothing else has changed. I'm still running MAC OSX 10.3.9...and i simply re-installed my original MBOX Pro-Tools software (6.1) I tried to open a project I had been working on just a few weeks prior. Something must be different with my MAC...I just don't get it! Very frustrating. I don't think it's a Pro-Tools issue..I think it's the MAC. But the Apple people can't help me with my Pro-Tools issues! UUugghhhhhhh! BT
