Just wondering how you guys are using these two great machines together. I've been using the MPC for years and am now just getting into Pro Tools. What I like about the MPC is it's ease of use, cut-to-it aproach, etc., but I like the editing capabilities of Pro Tools (bigger visuals, easier cut & paste, etc). How can I get the best of both worlds...or am I asking for too much? Thanks guys! naman G4/400 194 MB MPC2000XL PT 001 MOTU Express XT (USB) Trinity (master keyboard) [This message has been edited by naman (edited March 28, 2000).]

hi naman, I do all my sequences on the MPC, then import them into 001 as standard MIDI files, that way I sequence them on MPC and edit and fine tune them on 001. hope this helps! __________ sanster

Hey Naman. I have a set-up very similar to yours and wondered how you have everything set-up using the same MIDI time piece I have. Any help on the matter would be appreciated. Drew

hi naman, well i WISH i had a response for you that was more "helpful". i too use an mpc and have just ordered the 001 and i'm really curious myself to see how the two integrate. i can't wait to get my hands on pro tools, but on the other hand i can't imagine not using my trusty mpc for programming my drums. oh well... i'll keep you posted!!! peace, ~f i k
