Hi, anybody ever experience this? i recorded guitar to a click with predetermined tempo changes, but now when i play back, the audio becomes very distorted wherever there is a gradual tempo change. if i delete the tempo marker or deselect "gradually transition tempo to next marker", the audio is fine but the rest of the project of course becomes off tempo. thing is, reaper played back the guitar fine when i recorded drums. its only since i saved and reopened the project that this problem occurs. muting the drums doesnt help. any ideas whats going on? bug maybe?

Ok nevermind. this is some kind of driver buffer problem. apparently it takes more cpu when there are gradual tempo changes. makes sense...

but actually, does anyone know WHY gradual tempo shifts need so much cpu esp when all the media is time based and not needing to be stretched or pitch shifted or any of that? i forgot i figured this out last session and it cut it short because i didnt think to adjust the audio buffer.

If the plug in tempo locks to the song then the changes might be causing it to go "funky"

Fiddle with the "H" button in the loop sections. It's the lock to host tempo switch , and it's one per loop pad. - Mario
