I have been unsuccessfully trying to take .wav files from CD and convert that into my Pro Tools session. I always end up with noise. I thought I go in Movie>Import Audio from Other Movie, then find the wav on the CD, select the track to import, drag it off the audio file list onto the track. The result is noise. Do I have something set up wrong? Is this the wrong process to import from a CD? I have a G4 with OS 9.04

Well, I know they say that you can do it, but I'd recommend dragging the file onto your hard drive and convert using a program like SoundAPP...works like a charm every time... ------------------ flYboY

Easiest solution I've found so far: Open Simple Text. Select the CD track you want and open it (it will ask you to convert it - just keep the settings at 16 bit 44.1kHz). That turns it into a QuickTime audio file which can be treated like an AIFF file. Open your session in PT and click on the Audio directory. You'll get a menu to import audio. Find the converted file you created and it will give you a left channel and a right channel that you can drop into a pair of audio tracks. Hope this helps.
