Range across

Reaper by default will range across all tracks. Is it possible to range only across selected tracks, like Samplitude by default. Please see the video. Thank you Br, Dali

Time selection and item selection are separate by default in Reaper. This is how they get literally 10x the editing abilities of other daws that cannot separate the two. There are many actions in Reaper that allow you to link the two however. Take a look at the action list regarding item and track selection and time selection. Then look at mouse modifiers in Preferences. You will find that you can even dial up the exact functionality you had in Samplitude if you want to. For starters, understand that only selected items are the focus of any actions you do (regardless of the fact that the time selection ranges through all tracks). Working in Reaper is all about making the selection you want in your workflow.
