Hey guys, So here is my very first mix with Reaper. It's just version 1 so things may change (I'm thinking about a guitar part's volume) but comments are very welcome already. Thanks for your time Brett

I am listening on laptop speakers and it sounds really good. Is that kick sampled? The drummer is the star of this show, I like how prominent the kick is, what a performance... Was it altered in any way?

it sounds like Joey Jordensen mixed this song. He loves loud drums. This song fucking rocks

Fine tuned a few things here and there, played a bit with automation and stuff... Here's the link, I'm also editing my first post.

Yeah guitars could've been louder and/or thicker/punchier and drums a bit less prominent. All in all it's a good mix for the genre.

Excellent work! +1 for the rhythm guitars to be louder and punchier. They get lost in the mix when everything is playing at once. Question: What was used for the intro bit?

Agree that the guitars could come up a bit. Overall this is a really good mix. I'm not usually a metal fan but I like this one.

Sorry I forgot about that, I edited the first link to the 3rd and final version approved by the band. :)
