Get note names?

Why does the piano roll keyboard disappear when you hide unused notes? It defaults to numbers.. is there a setting to have it still show the note names? preferably D4 D#4 E4 and so on? without having to load a note name file every time? also can someone share a note name file that shows D4 D#4 E4 and so on? not finding anything in the stash even. I know there were a few on there before..
