Can't get MIDI back from Pro Tools 11

I just started using Reaper and have a plugin (B4 II) loaded in; I recorded a part into Pro Tools 11 without any trouble, and can hear the B4 as I play my keyboard. When I playback though, nothing gets to the plugin that I can see, and after watching a setup video still can't get anything to come back into the plugin. Can someone tell me how to set up Reaper so that I'll get MIDI back after recording it? Thanks, Bob

Hello longterm and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information. In Reaper Preferences: -- enable your MIDI keyboard controller for Input AND for Control. On the Reaper track where the B4 II is: -- arm the track for Recording, -- make sure Input Monitoring (the small speaker icon should be green), -- select your MIDI device as the input to the track.

You might need to drag down the lower edge of the Track Control Panel (TCP) to see the third row of controls. If the MIDI is successfully recorded, then you should get audio from the B4 on playback. After Recording, you should see some MIDI notes represented in the MIDI clip.

Gotcha. I've never tried linking DAWs, and won't be much help, but someone here will.... It does occur to me that, since you've probably missed a step, it might help if you could provide a link to the tutorial video you're using, or list the steps you've taken so far.
