Upgrade: Digi 96/192 or Apogee Rosetta 800 96/192?

Hi! i need some advice how's the A/B of a digidesign 96/192 I/O to a Rosetta 800 96/192? I read the Rosetta could be plugged in directly to the HDs cards, prices are comparable but i don't know about the quality. any suggestions? thks

It is really never worth it to use higher sample rates unless you have to deliver on them. A good converter with proper filtering will sound just as good at lower sample rates as it does at 96K and 192K. Better to save the DSP for plug-ins and track count than to waste it on higher sampling rates (afterall, that is the main reason to go HD.... Isn't it?) I have also compared the Rosetta 800 to the Digidesign 192 and preferred the Rosetta 800.

i have both 192s and a 96io...also work with apogees in the studio..i have to say i really like the new digi converters. the 192 is a good as i have heard.
